Large and small water lifting motors

Opportunity Brief
  • Aluminum is one of the most important metals used in industry in general. In fact, it is the second most widely used metal in industry after iron, due to its many advantages, including hardness, resistance to rust, low density, and electrical properties.
Aluminum is not found as a mineral in the earth, but is extracted from bauxite ore by refining it to produce aluminum oxide, which can be converted into aluminum ore through electrolysis.

Aluminum-based industries:
Aluminum sections
• One of the most popular uses of these sections is for doors and windows, due to their superiority over their wooden counterparts in terms of appearance, insulation, durability, and design, as they can save space by moving horizontally within a channel.
– Aluminum panels
• These panels, in various materials, are used in various industries such as aviation, automotive, shipbuilding, electronics, food packaging, and shipbuilding.
– Aluminum Cladding Panels
• Cladding panels are used in the construction sector, but in various applications, from covering buildings and food silos to shipbuilding and refrigeration and air conditioning applications, in addition to the common uses such as fire protection, building facades, and various transportation industries.
– Aluminum foil
• Aluminum foil is widely used in the food industry, both industrially and for end users. However, other industries also consume aluminum foil extensively, such as the pharmaceutical industry, where it is used in tablet strips, both single- and double-wrapped.
• The construction sector also uses them for thermal insulation, electronics, aviation, aerospace, and other applications, which is expected to drive global demand for these chips to exceed $20 billion in 2022.

Investment Opportunity Drivers Global Perspectives
  • Local urban expansion has significantly increased demand for aluminum profiles directly, while also contributing to the annual demand for aluminum panels used in finishing and cladding industries for building facades, roofs, fire protection, and interior fittings.
  • The annual growth rate in demand for these aluminum products reached 13% for some product types, with an average annual increase of 9% between 2019 and 2023.
  • Aluminum products are produced locally by the Egyptian Aluminum Company, established in 1976. Its industrial complex in Nagaa Hammadi, Qena Governorate, has a maximum capacity of 320,000 tons annually, and relies on imported bauxite ore for a significant portion of its production.
  • Suze Canal Economic zone (SC Zone).
  • Industrial zone in 10th of Ramadan city
  • Safaga City (close to an import and export port and close to the expected bauxite discoveries in the Eastern Desert).
